About Me and My Role as the School Counselor
About Me
My name is Ms. Erwich and I am so excited to be joining the team at Belle Chasse
Primary School as your School Counselor for the 22/23 school year!
I am originally from Massachusetts but grew up in Miami, FL. After receiving my
undergraduate degree in Psychology from Florida State University, I was motivated to discover
a career that would combine my passion for mental health and wellness and my skills in
working with children and adolescents. From this aspiration, I found the work of a school
counselor to be my calling. I went on to receive a Masters of Education in School Counseling
from Florida International University.
My goal as the BCPS School Counselor is to promote student success in alignment with
our school’s mission statement: realize their potential to become independent readers, writers,
thinkers, problem solvers, and communicators. I will support students’ and parents’ needs to
the best of my ability in the areas of social/emotional development and academic success.
Some of my roles include:
Counseling Lessons
Group Counseling
Immediate Student Support
504 Coordinator
School Based Level Committee Coordinator
English Learner Coordinator
Homelessness Coordinator
Pre-K; Early Childhood Interventionist
Registration
Maintenance of Cumulative Folders; Records
I look forward to meeting each and every one of the BCPS students and families as we begin
this fantastic new school year!
